A Slice of Fun
A Scoop of Learning, A Slice of Fun!
What better way to beat the summer heat than with a cool, creamy treat—made by the students themselves! At Gaurs International School, our Fruit Cream Making Activity during Summer Camp wasn’t just delicious—it was an amazing skill-building experience!
From exploring the names of fruits, ingredients, and kitchen utensils, to understanding how to use electronic appliances like blenders and whisks, the activity was a flavorful way to enhance vocabulary development and practical life skills.
The children learned:
- Names of fruits and ingredients
- Use of basic utensils like bowls, knives (child-safe), and spoons
- Awareness of kitchen gadgets like blenders and mixers
- Concepts like mixing, measuring, and consistency
- New words like “whip,” “chop,” “peel,” “blend,” “serve,” and more
Most importantly, students practiced:
- ✔️ Teamwork
- ✔️ Hygiene habits
- ✔️ Patience and process-following
- ✔️ Presentation skills
Summer relevance? Oh yes! Fruit cream is a healthy, hydrating, and easy-to-make summer dessert. Teaching students how to make it on their own empowers them with confidence and independence—even in the kitchen!
At Gaurs International School, we believe in Skill-Based Learning that goes beyond textbooks. Activities like these are designed to build real-life competencies, one fun experience at a time!
