From the desk of the Principal
Vandana Seth, the Head of Gaurs International School, Siddharth Vihar, Ghaziabad, is a Visionary School leader, a committed and proactive learning facilitator with more than 22 years of rich experience in the field of education functioning in different capacities including that of a Founding Principal overseeing school operations, framing and implementing school policies, developing the curriculum and empowering teachers through guidance and counselling. Being a dynamic mentor for youth leaders and a passionate community outreach specialist, she is working towards educating the students about the UN Sustainable Development Goals and has been recognised as a ‘ Leader for Change’ in 2018. Sports are symbolic of strength and, hence, a key area of her focus to help students develop their essential life skills. She is an active member of the International Council for School Leadership and Rotary International and is religiously engaged in setting up Interact Clubs in various schools in the National Capital Region, orienting the young minds to give back to society in various ways through community service projects like setting up the first Plasma Bank in UP and education for the underprivileged. She’s effectively contributed to the making of KHEL PITARA, the ECCE kit developed by SCERT, and the effort has been acknowledged by the Joint Director of SCERT, Delhi. She’s also a School Ambassador for the World Teen Parliament.
She believes in upgrading and setting new benchmarks for herself every day. In the past, she has been associated with the renowned school chains in the country, like Amity, Montfort and Sanfort. She has been a Guest Speaker at the World Education Summit, Amity University, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, CMS Lucknow and several reputed conferences of school leaders and has the following achievements to her credit, to name a few :
- A Certified Cambridge English Trainer and examiner for school students, recognised by Cambridge Assessment English for playing a crucial role in developing their language skills and opening a whole new world of opportunities for them globally.
- Award for Excellent Contribution in School Education at the National Conference on ICT in Schools.
- Innovative Educator Award by The Global Triumph Foundation in 2018. Best Teacher of the Year – 2018 by the International Association of Research and Development Organisation and Gurukul Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kota.
- Shiksha Gaurav National Teacher Award by CED Foundation.
- Reliance Foundation Award for being among the top 50 Senior Secondary English teachers in the country and the UAE.
- Covered by National Print ‘Mail Today’ for ‘Say No to Aluminium foil campaign’ 2017 – 2018.
- Recognised by Fever FM 104 for going live with them as a Community Service Mentor for school students.
- Recognised by the British Council for supporting the integration of international learning in the curriculum, thereby bagging the British Council International School Award for Schools.
- Nation Builder Award by Rotary Club of Mumbai West Coast.
